The second phase of our teaching practice started on 5 th of June 2024.Fortunately, I was alloted again to Pope Pius XI HSS.Ajesh and Athul were my co-trainees to the same school.There were also other trainees from other colleges.
We came on that day by 11.00 AM,saw the headmaster,Sabu Sir and then saw our optional teachers and collected our portions. Also other instructions were given.We then came back by 1.00 PM.
I arrived at school by 9:00 a.m., eager to commence the day's educational endeavors. Following the signing of the attendance register, I proceeded to my allotted room, where I collaborated with colleagues to conduct a thorough examination of high school students' school bags, as per the instruction of HM, ensuring a safe and secure learning environment. My academic schedule comprised two classes - in the third hour, I delivered an engaging Physics lesson to 9D students, elucidating the fundamental principles of Work-Energy. Later, in the fifth hour, I taught Chemistry to 8C students, exploring the fascinating realm of Solutions. Additionally, I assisted teachers with food distribution . After completing my tasks and crafting lesson plans, I departed the school by 3:30 p.m., feeling fulfilled.
Today, although classes were suspended due to the educational strike called by KSU, we reported to school at 9:10 a.m. as instructed by the Headmaster. As part of the school's Navaratri celebrations, a program titled 'Karshika Shilpa Shala' was organized. The event was inaugurated by the esteemed Dr. Joshua Mar Ignatius, President of Mavelikara Roopatha and Chairman of the KCBC Education Commission. This was followed by an interactive session on the significance of agriculture, led by Shri Muralitharan Thazhakkara, Program Executive of Akashavani,Thiruvananthapuram. The program took place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Chief Guest also honored students who demonstrated a keen interest in agriculture. After lunch, we prepared lesson plans and departed from school at 3:30 p.m. after marking our attendance.
